What's it doing — blowing warm, blowing nothing, or making a noise?
Running but blowing warm air
Two free checks first. Is the filter grey or matted, and is the outdoor fan actually spinning?
Pre-checks · no chargeFilter is filthy. Outdoor fan is going.
Change the filter either way — but a spinning fan with warm air usually means refrigerant or a capacitor, and that is a service call. Diagnostic is $89, waived if you take the repair.

What this chat can do
- Separate a $0 fix from a real service call — a clogged filter, a tripped breaker, and a thermostat on the wrong mode account for a lot of no-cool calls.
- Route anything involving a gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm straight out of the chat and into an emergency call.
- Tell you what a diagnostic costs before you book, and whether it is credited against the repair.
- Price the repair against a maintenance plan side by side, so you can see which is actually cheaper for you.
- Book a licensed technician against real availability, including during a seasonal surge.
Casabot gives general guidance and cost ranges, not a diagnosis or a binding quote — a licensed technician has to see the equipment before any price is firm. If you smell gas or your carbon monoxide alarm is sounding, leave the building and call 911 or your gas utility. Do not use this chat for that.

Is the chat really free?
Yes. No cost, no account, no card. You only pay if you decide to book a technician, and the diagnostic fee is shown to you first.
My AC is out and it's 105 degrees. Can this actually help right now?
Sometimes, yes — it will first walk you through the checks that cost nothing: filter, breaker, thermostat mode, and whether the outdoor unit is running. Those resolve a meaningful share of no-cool calls. If they do not, it books the soonest real slot rather than putting you on a callback list.
What if I smell gas or my CO alarm goes off?
Leave the building and call 911 or your gas utility. Casabot will say the same thing and stop the conversation. That is not a case for a chat window, and it is not a case for waiting on a service window either.
Should I repair or replace?
The chat will give you the honest framing — age of the system, refrigerant type, and the cost of the repair against a replacement — but it will not decide for you, and it will not pressure a replacement. A technician has to see the equipment to advise properly.
What is the maintenance plan, and do I have to take it?
No, and it is shown as an option, not a default. It typically covers two seasonal tune-ups and waives diagnostic fees. The chat prices it against the one-time repair so you can see the difference rather than being sold on it.
Who actually shows up?
A licensed technician from the local company running this chat. Casabot handles intake and scheduling; it does not employ technicians.
