Is the chat really free?

What if my emergency is happening right now?
Start with the chat — the first thing it does for an active leak is get you to the shutoff, which is usually the difference between a wet cabinet and a flooded floor. If you smell gas or the water is coming up through a drain, stop and call your utility or 911 first.
Will it send someone to my house automatically?
No. Nothing is dispatched until you pick a time and approve the agreement, and the after-hours fee is disclosed in writing before you do. If you close the chat, nothing happens.
How accurate are the cost estimates?
They are ranges drawn from the contractor's own rate card, not a quote. Plumbing prices move with what is actually behind the wall, so the firm number comes after the plumber has seen it. What is fixed up front is the dispatch or diagnostic fee.
Who actually shows up?
A licensed plumber from the local shop running this chat. Casabot is the intake and scheduling layer — it does not employ technicians and does not dispatch anyone you have not approved.
